8:30-9:45 a.m. – 5K Run Registration in the ASGHA Tent Area
10-11 a.m. – 5K run – Start/Finish Line
11-11:45 a.m. – Walk Registration in the ASGHA Tent Area
11-11:30 a.m. – Food, Fun, Games and Community in the ASGHA area
11:30-11:45 a.m. – 5K Awards – Start/Finish Line
11:45-Noon – Sponsor Recognition, Fun Walk Kickoff

April is National Autism Acceptance Month, and on Saturday, April 26, 2025, the Autism Society Greater Harrisburg Area will hold our annual Logan’s Run 5k and Family Fun Walk. The 5k Run will begin at 10 am (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.), and the Family Fun Walk will begin at noon (registration begins at 11 a.m.).

Logan’s Run 5K is named in memory of Logan Mitcheltree, a young boy with autism from South Williamsport who, in December of 2004, died tragically after he became lost on a wooded mountainside. While there is progress being made in our understanding of Autism, Logan’s story is a sobering reminder that Autism can bring an array of serious concerns and challenges for families, beginning with the child’s vulnerability and safety. Every dollar raised by the Logan’s Run will go directly to help individuals and families in Central Pennsylvania deal with the unexpected and often devastating diagnosis of Autism. Funds raised provide educational, social, and recreational opportunities for the local Autism community. The funds raised during Logan’s Run also fund ASGHA’s Locator Device Grant program, which supports families that need locator devices for their children who demonstrate elopement tendencies.

The events on April 26 will include prizes for runners, refreshments, and entertainment for children.
